Ask once. Biome can browse, read files, write code, remember context, and ask before it touches your system.
Research the top AI coding tools, compare pricing, and save a markdown report to my Desktop.
Real tasks.
Biome is strongest when a request needs several steps across apps, files, and memory.
Open sources, compare claims, and save a brief or table where you asked for it.
Browser, files, citations, memoryInspect a repo, edit files, run checks, and stop for approval before sensitive commands.
Terminal, editor, approvalsRemember preferences, project details, and recurring instructions without making you repeat them.
Saved facts, short-term contextHow it works.
The interface shows what Biome is doing, what needs approval, and where the result landed.
Use plain language and attach files when useful.
Biome checks the page, repo, file, or connected account.
It browses, edits, writes, or schedules with visible progress.
Risky actions pause for your approval before they run.
Why Biome.
When AI can touch your local files and browser, clarity and control matter as much as capability.

Your conversations, memory, and API keys live on your machine. Biome asks before sensitive local actions.
Conversations, memory, and API keys stay on your machine. AI calls go directly from your device to your chosen provider. We only store your email address.
All outbound requests are validated against host allowlists and private-IP DNS checks. The gateway cannot be tricked into fetching from internal hosts.
Every command the AI wants to run requires your explicit approval. Approval timeouts result in a hard block — no silent fallback execution path.
External content — webhooks, wake events, runtime notifications — is quarantined as untrusted before entering the AI's context.
Internal tool data and system metadata are stripped from all user-facing views. What you see in chat is exactly what the model intended.
Per-IP rate limits on every endpoint. OTP codes expire in 10 minutes and cannot be reused. Everything else runs entirely on your machine.

Yes — Biome runs on your machine and calls AI APIs directly using your own keys. You can bring keys for Google Gemini (free tier available), Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, xAI Grok, Mistral, or Perplexity. Keys are stored locally, never sent to our servers. Gemini has a generous free tier, so you can get started at zero cost.
The free download gives you the full Biome app — chat, workflows, skills, all AI models (bring your own key), file attachments, and community support. Pro unlocks Browser Control through the local browser relay and lightweight Chrome extension, AI Chat Piggyback, Zero-Knowledge privacy mode, and priority support.
Almost everything stays on your machine. Conversations, memory, and settings are stored locally by the desktop app — never on our servers. API calls go directly from your device to whichever AI provider you choose. We only keep account, billing, and consent records needed to run the service.
Browser Control is a Pro feature that lets your agent open URLs, click elements, fill forms, and read page content in Chrome through Biome's local browser relay and lightweight Chrome extension. It's not required for basic web search — that works without Chrome. Browser Control unlocks deeper automation like reading paywalled content, filling forms, and interacting with web apps.
Biome requires macOS 13 Ventura or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon (M-series) and Intel Macs. A Windows version is in active development.
Yes. Cancel anytime from your billing portal with no questions asked. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period, then revert to the free tier automatically.

Example runs.
What Biome should look like in use.
Compare three tools, cite sources, save a decision memo.
Open a web app, read the latest state, prepare the next action.
Inspect the project, patch a file, run the narrowest useful check.
